Mrs. Alyse Hoyt
Alyse Hoyt has been teaching Graphic Design at Niles since 2006. She is a proud Niles Viking alumni, graduating in 1999. Mrs. Hoyt went on to earn her Bachelor of Arts from Northern Michigan University in Industrial Technology Education, with minors in Art and Design and Political Science. She holds a Vocational Certification in Visual Communications. As a graphic designer she has produced a host of media including brochures, menus, logo development and websites. She began her teaching career in the Grand Rapids area at the Kent Career and Technology Center, she went on to teach in the Hartford and Brandywine Middle Schools and High Schools. In 2010, she earned a Master of Arts in Career and Technology Education through Western Michigan University. Along with teaching at Niles High School, Mrs. Hoyt now offers our students dual enrollment for nine college credits through Lake Michigan College as an adjunct professor. Mrs. Hoyt enjoys attending and supporting students' events with her husband and three young daughters and is currently the Niles Graphic Arts club advisor.
